Length of time with PZS?
This is my first year.How did you get involved? / What attracted you to this job?
I've been going to the PZS since day one though. Finally thought I owed it something. Basically, about time. PZS is kind of the best thing in the world for me and I wish I could be at the Symposium this year but there is a bad scheduling conflict so Emily Nilsson is going to be Sparkplug at the PZS. And I'll just have to think about all the fun I'm missing, which totally sucks.
What do you do for PZS?
I'm an member of the organizing committee.
Favorite parts of the event?
Kind of everything. I love the whole thing. The workshops would have to be my most favorite. I love the vegan food people make. I love finding a ton of zines and min-comics to read. I always come away feeling way better about the world, and not standing still.
Age, and anything you'd like to say about your self..
I'm 38 and I've been in Portland for over a decade, after moving from Olympia, WA and originally Berkeley, CA. I co-run (with Tim Goodyear) a store on Foster Road in Portland called The Bad Apple. I'm a big nerd. I'm working on my first actual zine (more words less drawing) in years, this year. I hope.
