Length of time with PZS?

This is my first year and I've really been loving it. I was already friends with a couple organizers of previous years and I don't know what took me so long to get more involved.

How did you get involved? / What attracted you to this job?

I am close friends with another organizer and have been acquainted with others, so the idea of helping my friends with their passions is one thing that inspired me to help. Another thing that inspired me to help is that I really love zines - though I am still working on my first.

What do you do for PZS?

I am one of the core organizers this year, meeting every other week to plan PZS, except for the last couple months, where we've been meeting every week or several times a week.

More specifically: I talked the talented John C. Worsley into taking over the website, I maintain the facebook page, answer all emailed questions about PZS, manually confirm/email all the tablers, tabled at the Roots Festival and the Olympia Comics Fest representing PZS, am working on organizing panels/discussions, am working with a couple other organizers to organize workshops, and I planned our wrap up party music show at the Red & Black Cafe.

Favorite parts of the event?

I love discovering new reading material, meeting the people who have created it and making new friends - locally and from all over!

Age, and anything you'd like to say about your self?

I am 24 and I've lived in Portland for about 5 years. I like to ride bikes, make music with fine folks, eat lots of vegan food, run around with kids, collect dinosaurs, read comics, pet any cat I see (also mine specifically, Mona Mia and Wesley Dodds), plan events, write letters (write me one), practice riding my unicycle, make gifts for friends, garden with my housemate, and chit chat over beers.

You might know me from..

Sequential Art Gallery, carting children around to libraries and museums (my day job is as a nanny), never fall for a dinosaur,  Stumptown Comics Fest, On the Shoulders of Everyday People (my first zine, it's about being a childcare provider), Alter Egos, riding really fast past you on my red Cannondale..
